Longing, Craving, Desire ... are they valuable sources on the path of awakening ?

... yes, they are valuable sources to awakening....!
if we are not bound to fulfilling them and/or just got hooked on them, they show us deep truth and lead us to where to we can take our next steps.
This happens when we allow to feel into them , 100 % , without acting upon them. How does it feel, what does it create it in me body-wise, what lies beyond them , falling deeper and deeper into ourselves ... what do we find BEYOND / BEHIND that ?
E.g. I am longing for the mountains since several days . When I take the time to look deeper instead of just packing my bag and leaving for the Alps .
... what is it I find ...
a deep longing after authencity and silence in the depth of my being.
A longing for deep connection with the essence of "me" .
I am the mountains. They are me. Nowhere to go, nothing to do.

"There are mountains hidden in treasures. There are mountains hidden in swamps. There are mountains hidden in the sky. There are mountains hidden in mountains. There are mountains hidden in hiddenness. This is complete understanding. An ancient Buddha said, "Mountains are mountains, waters are waters." These words do not mean mountains are mountains; they mean mountains are mountains. Therefore investigate mountains thoroughly. When you investigate mountains thoroughly, this is the work of the mountains. Such mountains and waters of themselves become wise persons and sages." Dogen

So I will investigate mountains thoroughly ...
