I
know many have problems with digestion and the stomach.
So
I thought I´d like to share one of my top remedies for that .
I
call it "Smiling Intestines, Smiling Me" ;-)
I
take it two times a day , once in the morning and then once again in
the evening , BEFORE dinner . It will make you less hungry which will
make you less full before lying down and thus might even help
improving your sleep. ….
You
need 3 ingredients to begin with. All of them are used in Macrobiotic
Living .
(
PLEASE make sure you buy ORGANIC )
1
- kuzu
Kuzu,
or known in America as kudzu root, has been prized for its medicinal
properties in China and Japan for thousands of years.
Clinical
studies, done in China, have shown that kuzu root preparations can
reduce high blood pressure, relieve chronic migraines and ease aches
in the shoulders and neck.
The
flavonoids in kuzu have been shown to lower cholesterol levels,
reduce the risk of blood clots, and protect against heart disease.
As
reported by Harvard medical researcher Wing-Ming Keung, kuzu can curb
the desire for alcohol and help heal the organs damaged by
alcoholism.
2
- Miso
Miso
is a paste made from soybeans, sea salt, and koji (a mold starter),
and often mixed with rice, barley or other grains. The mixture is
allowed to ferment for 3 months to 3 years, which produces an
enzyme-rich food.
The
binding agent zybicolin in miso is effective in detoxifying and
eliminating elements that are taken into the body through industrial
pollution, radioactivity and artificial chemicals in the soil and
food system.
The
10 scientifically researched benefits of miso:
1.
Contains all essential amino acids, making it a complete protein.
2.
Stimulates the secretion of digestive fluids in the stomach.
3.
Restores beneficial probiotics to the intestines.
4.
Aids in the digestion and assimilation of other foods in the
intestines.
5.
Is a good vegetable-quality source of B vitamins (especially B12).
6.
Strengthens the quality of blood and lymph fluid.
7.
Reduces risk for breast, prostate, lung and colon cancers.
8.
Protects against radiation due to dipilocolonic acid, an alkaloid
that chelates heavy metals and discharges them from the body.
9.
Strengthens the immune system and helps to lower LDL cholesterol.
10.
Is high in antioxidants that protect against free radicals.

- Umeboshi Paste
A
diet high in acidic foods, as is prevalent in the Weatern World with
so many meals consisting of refined sugars and red meat, is at the
core of many symptoms such as fatigue, digestive imbalances,
emotional imbalances, and anxiety.
In
fact, an overly acidic diet can cause inflammation, which is the
gateway to many other ailments. Luckily, with a few dietary changes,
it is possible to create balance once again.
One
way to combat this over-acidic tendency is to include foods with
alkalinizing effects on the blood, urine, and saliva, such as
umeboshi plums.
Umeboshi
plums have been used for centuries in Asia, specifically Japan,
China, and Korea.
They
are an amazing alkalinizing food.
This
is because they contain citric acid.
They
are created via a lactic fermentation process using Japanese plums,
shiso leaves, and sea salt. The shiso leaves are have many medicinal
health benefits themselves,
and
they contribute to the antimicrobial and infection fighting
components of the umeboshi plums.
It
is important to check that these three things are the only
ingredients because mass production and recent demand of this fruit
has caused some companies to use artificial dyes and preservatives to
keep costs down. -
Though
these three are expensive , they are hardly as expensive as going all
bad with your guts and feeling like crap and all the things you might
have taken to help with the symptoms up to now …
So
INVEST in yourself . A balanced intestine and stomach is key to your
emotional wellbeing …
